You     : Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to Raffles Place Station?
Person A: Sure. Take the Downtown Line to Bugis, and changes trains there.

You     : I see. Which line should I take from Bugis?

Person A: Take the East West Line. Raffles Place Station is two stops from Bugis.

You     : Thank you so much.

Person A: My pleasure.

 

Pattern 1

You     : Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to Raffles Place Station?
Person A: Sure. Take the Downtown Line to Bugis, and transfer to the East West Line there. Bugis Station is one stop from here.

You     : I see.

Person A: Raffles Place is two stops from Bugis.

You     : Well, how long does it take from here to Raffles Place?

Person A: I think it takes 2 to 3 minutes to go one stop, so It’ll take 12 minutes or so.

You     : Thank you so much.

Perrson A: Anytime.

 

Pattern 2

You     : Excuse me. Could you tell me the way to get to Bayfront Station?
Person A: Certainly. Take the Downtown Line.  Bayfront is three stop from here.

You     : I see. May I ask you how long it takes from here to Bayfront?

Person A: I think it takes 2 or 3 minutes to go one stop, so It’ll take 8 minutes or so.

You     : Thank you so much.

Person A: My pleasure.

 

Pattern 3

You     : Excuse me. Could you tell me how to get to Orchard Station?
Person A: Sure. Take the Downtown Line to Newton, and transfer to the North South Line there. Newton Station is one stop from here.

You     : I see.

Person A: Orchard is one stop from Newton.

You     : Well, how long does it take from here to Newton?

Person A: I think it takes 2 to 3 minutes to go one stop, so It’ll take 12 to 15 minutes including travel time at the Newton Station.

You     : Thank you so much.

Person A: You’re welcome.

 

Pattern 4

You     : Excuse me. Could you tell me the way to get to Orchard Station?
Person A: Sure. Take the North East Line to Dhoby Ghaut, and transfer to the North South Line there.

Dhoby Ghaut Station is one stop from here.

You     : I see

Person A: Orchard is two stops from Dhoby Ghaut.

You      : By the way, how long does it take from here to Orchard?

Person A : I think it takes 2 or 3 minutes to go one stop, so It’ll take 15 to 18 minutes including travel time at the Dhoby Ghaut.

You      : Thank you so much.

Perrson A: No problem.
